His favourite writers are in great part contemporary, everyone fascinates him for a different characteristic, like the pluck in the charachters of Ken Follett, the linguistic sweetness of Dacia Maraini, the touching atmospheres of Susanna Tamaro and the mordacious humour of Luciano De Crescenzo. As regards the writers of the past, he especially admires two authors: the romantic Coleridge and Schopenhauer philosopher. Della Monica asserts that, when he begins to write a novel, his ideas start from an aphorism, in the case of "THE SICK ANGEL", to inspire him were the words of the Mahabharata: "The spirit is that that the sword cannot hurt, that the fire cannot consume, that waters cannot macerate, that the noon wind cannot dry." That's the reason why THENOVELIST wanted to add a collection of aphorisms to the site, so that they may be worthy as inspiration to all of you. We therefore invite anyone to send new ones to the following address: mail@ilromanziere.com . You can send your favourite aphorisms, famous phrases or your personal lines, they will make up our directory with the name or the nickname (as you prefer) of who has suggested them. |
